List files with: Tune lister -- Session lister -- Collection lister

Some of the pages are numbered consistently, and the numbering would put the first tune (White Cockades) on page 2, after the scale and fingering chart that fills page 1. So the single-tune files here have names of the form PPN_Title.abc, where pp is the 2-digit page number, and N is the tune number on the page. This gives the same order in the all-tunes files as in the book. (The scale and fingering chart are on page 1, which isn't very useful, but the fife scale has been transcribed anyway. It and the book's title occupy page 1. The fingering chart can't be represented in ABC notation.)

The tune nembers in this collection, which are also the first 3 digits of the file name, are a 2-digit page number and a 1-digit tune number on the page. The last digit is never more than 4. The page number comes from the photo-image PDF of the book. There are many pages that contain no tunes; nothing was transcribed from them.

A few tunes use ABC features that weren't in the original ABC version 1, but were added in version 2. Some ABC software still only implements ABCV 1.x, for some x. So there are are a few tunes whose titles end with -V1.abc and -V2.abc, to indicate which version they were transcribed for. The '_' before the title in the file name is also changed to '-' for V1 or '=' for V2 versions, so that the Makefile can easily separate them.

The Makefile contains instructions to build two files, GftF1.abc and GftF2.abc, which are used to hold the complete set of tunes that have been transcribed so far, with the '1' or '2' indicating the ABC version number.

A few tunes have other titles in other collections; sometimes those other titles are included here as subtitles.
