(They're all danceable!) The class sort of thought it was fun so I thought I'd send it on for others to try. The original intention was to give it to someone who was on the was to Aus. for Hogmanay. They were polite too. SUNNY HOGMANAY A REEL in 32 Bars for THREE COUPLES in a FOUR COUPLE SET. by Ron Mackey London & Croydon Branches 1-8 Similar to Montgomeries Rant. 1st couple cross over giving right hand and cast off, as 2nd couple step up. 1st couple cross over giving left hand and cast to the left to finish: 1st lady between the 2nd couple and 1st man between the 3rd couple. 9-10 All set 3&3 across the dance, 11-12 All set advancing pulling right shoulder back to finish back to back. 13-14 All set again in a double line across in 2nd place. 15-16 All set. 2nd and 3rd couple advancing again to the corners pulling right shoulder back to face in. Maenwhile 1st couple pivot to the right about each other to finish in the centre, 1st man facing up and 1st lady facing down. 17-24 1st couple give right shoulder to 2nd corners to start a reel of three on the opposite side and finish facing 2nd corners. 25-32 1st couple turn 2nd corner by the right hand, partner by the left, 1st corner by the right hand and partner by the left -- to finish in second place, own side, --- ready to start again.
