Currently “Request Answer”, this is one of the great feature in Quora where you can ask a question to a specific person who is best in answering such questions. For example, I can ask anything related to aviation to a pilot/aviation engineer on Quora. BNBR - Be Nice Be Respectful. Attacking a person or their content. That is to treat everyone on the forum with respect. If you disagree with the content, be patient and have a healthy discussion/debate about it but never attack a person intentionally/unintentionally since you may be violating Quora’s policy. TW - Top Writers. A Token of appreciation from Quora who contribute great answers in the forum, which is selected annually. TQW - Top Question Writer. Again a token of appreciation from Quora for those who ask great questions. KPW - Knowledge Prize Winner. Suppose if a Quoran wins a cash award for a sponsored question, this badge will be displayed in their profile. Published Writer - This is awarded to Quorans whose answers are published in Quora’s partner websites like Forbes, Independent, Inc, Fatherly, The Huffington Post, Time, BBC, Quartz and so on. Most Viewed Writer - Another badge gifted by Quora for top 10 writers who has most number of views in a particular topic. For example, if I have 100,000 views on Aviation and I’m in top 10, I would be awarded with Most Viewed Writer badge for Aviation. Answer Wiki - Suppose if a question has hundreds of answers and you couldn’t follow them all, Answer Wiki helps you by displaying summary of the good answers. Mostly found in survey-type questions. Quora Sessions - Sessions are events in which writers answer questions taken in advance. Before a Session begins, writers open up to take questions on the Session page and you can post new questions or follow existing questions. [1] Go Anonymous - Some people want to express their views/incidents and doesn’t wish to show their identity in a public forum. This feature will be helpful in such cases but few don’t use it wisely. Read - Contains the Feed and Trending Now sections with some top stories, answers/questions of the people, whom you follow have written or asked. Drafts - You can save answers as drafts in Quora before allowing it to publish just like you save mails in mailbox. Notifications - Whenever an user follows you/upvotes your content, the notifications is shown. Quora sends you notifications related to your activity. Mute - Excellent feature from Quora, which helps you to clean up the feeds by muting Topics/Users, thus displaying contents only which you’re interested in. Report - Suppose if you find a content or an user violating some policy, you can report them and mention the policy which they’ve violated. Turn on notifications - Previously known as “Subscribe”, this feature enables us to get notifications from a person whenever he/she posts an answer or write a blog. Knowledge Prize - Sponsors offer financial awards for best answers for the question which they request on Quora. Credentials & Highlights - This feature replaced “Bio” which helps the reader to understand your expertise. A new annoying feature lately introduced. Stats - This feature displays your highly viewed answers and upvoted answers with graphical representations. Upvote - It doesn't mean if I like an answer, I can upvote it. This feature is introduced for encouraging good/sensible answers to the questions. Downvote - This feature is to express your disagreement towards the content. OP - Original Poster. Denotes the primary person who asked the question. Quora Moderation/Mods/Admins - A set of anonymous Quora staff who monitors the activities that violate Quora’s policies. TL;DR - Too Long; Didn’t Read. A notation which indicates the summary of the following answer in-order to save time of the reader. PM - Private Message or Personal Message Topics - The purpose of topics on questions is to allow people with knowledge about those topics to find questions to answer.[2] Pass - Pass button is available whenever a question pops up on the feed or when someone A2A’s to you. If you’re not sure on how to answer the question or any unrelated questions can be ignored by hitting the Pass button. Answer Later - Suppose you find an interesting question in the feed and wanted to answer it but you don’t have time to answer it currently, you can use this feature to save it for answering in future. Thank - If someone answers a question you A2A’ed or if someone suggests a much needed edit for your content, you can use this feature. Log - Whenever the content is edited by the user, Quora logs all the edits which can be viewed by anyone. Bookmark - Previously called as “Add to Reading List”, allows you to save topics and answers which can be accessed later from Home feed. Comments - The section where readers can interact with the answerer. Knows about - This is another section in your Quora profile. When you write answers on some specific topics, that specific one will move up the chart displaying what the user knows well and is capable to answer on. Activity - Displays whatever the user has done so far (upvoting content/asking questions/following blogs, users, topics, etc) Share - Suppose if you want to share an answer or question outside Quora to other websites or messengers, you can utilize this feature. Your Content - This section is available in your profile which helps to filter out the contents (Questions/Answers) you’ve contributed so far in Quora sorted by topics, year. Topic FAQ - All frequently asked questions pertaining to a specific topic is displayed here. QCR - Quora Content Review, a manual/automated feature by Quora which helps in keeping the quality of questions high. Block - If someone attacks you verbally/annoys you continuously, you can just block that specific person from further contacting you. Collapse - If your content has violated any policies by Quora, it will be collapsed by Quora Mods. Uncollapse - Contents which are collapsed can be uncollapsed if the user hasn’t violated or edited the content as per policy. Quora Digest - Quora emails you the Top Stories and other popular content from your feed to your mailbox. Mentions - If someone mentions/tags your name in an answer/comment/post. Suggest Edits - Any readers can suggest edits to your content if it has some discrepancies. Discover - Quora suggests you topics/people to follow. Moving Answers - If you’re an author of an answer, you can move your answer to a new question page. Merging Questions - Two questions can be merged to a single one. Suppose the both questions are similar, it can be merged to a single question which helps Quora feed tidy. Most Recent/30-Day Views - Displays most recent answers that are published and 30-day views displays answers that are mostly viewed in last 30 days. Related Questions - Mostly available on the right side, whenever you try to answer a question. An algorithm which picks up old questions related to similar discussion.
