I'm reminded of back when I was in college, and a friend was leaving for a few years to live in Israel. A bunch of us took her out to dinner, and we went to a place where we could order a bacon-and-shrimp pizza (with extra cheese). She loved it, and said she probably wouldn't be able to get anything like it in Israel. Part of the talk as we ate was figuring out what we could make a meal out of that would offend the most religious dietary rules. We decided we were pretty close, but we could add a beef sausage to the pizza to offend any Hindus in the vicinity. So we ordered another pizza with shrimp, bacon and (kosher;-) beef sausage. I also mentioned that part of my family are Mormons, who ban "drugs" like alcohol and caffeine, and I could see that a number of us were drinking beer and/or coffee. So we included those in the list, even though they weren't actually in the pizza. And I don't think the Mormons actually kill anyone who consumes such drinks, though they can be difficult to find in some restaurants in Utah and adjacent states. It was probably good that we were in a US college town, since there are parts of the world where our choice of food that night could have made us targets of the religious nuts, and sometimes also the police.
